High School Gameday Operations Team

 

We are seeking dedicated, organized, and enthusiastic individuals to join our High School Gameday Operations Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of our athletic events while supporting student athletes and fans. Several roles are available, each essential to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants and spectators.

 

Available Positions:

 

Ticket Sales Representative

 

Responsibilities:


- Greet attendees and process ticket sales, handling cash and card transactions accurately.
- Answer questions about game schedules, seating arrangements, and venue rules.
- Maintain detailed records of sales and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of your shift.
- Assist in closing down the ticket booth after the event, ensuring funds are securely handed over.

 

 

Gameday Supervisor

 

Responsibilities:


- Oversee all aspects of gameday operations, ensuring a safe and smooth experience for players, coaches, and spectators.
- Coordinate with security, ticket sales, announcers, and other staff to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Monitor crowd behavior, ensuring compliance with school policies and maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere.
- Assist with pre-game and post-game logistics, including setting up and tearing down equipment.
- Act as the point of contact for emergencies or issues related to facilities, ensuring prompt communication with the appropriate personnel (security, first aid, etc.).
- Oversee concessions, ensuring proper supplies and operations when applicable.

 

 

Game Day Announcer

 

Responsibilities:

- Provide clear and engaging commentary throughout the game, including player introductions, game highlights, and sponsor acknowledgments.
- Ensure accurate pronunciation of player names and communicate important game information (e.g., fouls, scores, penalties).
- Engage the crowd with enthusiasm and keep them informed of upcoming events, contests, or halftime activities.
- Maintain a professional tone while providing entertaining commentary.

 

 

Scoreboard Operator/Stat Bookkeeper

 

Responsibilities:


- Operate the scoreboard throughout the game, ensuring accurate tracking of time, scores, and penalties.
- Work closely with referees, coaches, and game officials to ensure the correct information is displayed.
- Record key statistics (points, fouls, timeouts) in the official stat book, ensuring precision and timely updates.
- Assist in resolving any technical issues with the scoreboard or stat book, communicating with event staff if needed.
