QUALIFICATIONS

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services

 

SUPERVISES: N/A

 

JOB OVERVIEW: Successful candidate will use his/her skills to assist teachers and students with the development and application of positive behavior and behavior modification supports. He/She will work with teachers and special services staff to develop strategies to strengthen academic and behavioral success for individual students and to improve the classroom environment for all involved. He/she will also provide professional development to certified and support staff who work with students with behavioral needs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  184-Day Contract- Support or Certified will be considered.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Duties are primarily performed inside the classroom; however, monitoring of students in different areas of the school may be required as well. Local travel required.

 

EVALUATION: In accordance with Board Policy and appropriate procedural regulations. The Superintendent or designee will be responsible for completing the evaluation.

 

SALARY RANGE: Salary will align with the Oklahoma certified scale plus a stipend based on the candidate's credentials and experience plus a stipend for travel reimbursement.

 

BENEFITS: This position includes fully-funded health insurance for the employee that may be waived for additional salary, if preferred. Those holding an Oklahoma teaching certificate will also qualify for retirement through OTRS.
