QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in spelling, grammar, and composition
- Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operations of office equipment, machines, computer experience, and bookkeeping
- Three years of experience as a secretary, or two years as an assistant secretary within the district
- Ability to work with and communicate positively with supervisors, office co-workers, teachers, administrators, and parents
- High School Diploma or equivalent

JOB OVERVIEW: To assist administrative supervisors in office procedures and communications so maximum attention can be given to effective positive impact on students through educational administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES
- Administrative Assistant to the superintendent, being cordial in welcoming visitors.
- This position is also the EPS Board of Education Assistant Minutes Clerk – to include gathering all agenda items electronically and complete the agenda within Assemble (online program) for agenda postings, sending out notifications, taking minutes and submitting through Assemble
- Records and keeps records for committee meetings
- Assists administrators with administrative needs
- Monitor compliance and assemble documentation for Accreditation Audit
- Coordinate out of district transfers and adhere to the policies
- Keep office master calendar up-to-date
- Mail Merge, letters, mailings
- District will assist you in becoming a notary
- PowerSchool data entry and running reports
- Be able to learn and work in many online based systems to include but not limited to: Google Drive, Assemble, PowerSchool, MAS, etc.
- Submitting purchase orders, booking travel, registrations, lodging and submitting invoices for payment
- Ordering office supplies for Administrative Services Center
- Organizing events when needed
- Annual and quarterly reports for various items
- Other duties as assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is a twelve month position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to walk, bend, kneel and reach. Sitting for long periods of time at a desk to perform job functions. Occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to read, write, and interpret written documents. Manipulate, handle, feel and control items or equipment.
WORK ENIVIRONMENT: Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and occasional local travel, including exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather conditions, and possible environmental hazards
